The vast program is laid out as a continuous strip of three storey high office buildings. This strip forms a stained glass window figure on the site with twelve enclosed gardens as infill. Every garden is designed following a different theme, to give quality and identity to the working environment of the staff. The roof of the office strips forms a street where cars drive and parking is organized. Three collective functions stand out as special shapes in the glass covered front gardens. The library, as a silver cylinder, the conference center as a red sphere, and the restaurant as a golden cone.

Program: 100.000 m2
Client: European Patent Organisation
Status: First prize Int. Competition 1989; final design 1991.
