The Van Der Wees site, sandwiched between a railway viaduct and the river in Dordrecht, clusters many different activities. The proposal is a cohesive volume, a clear-cut entity standing on the riverbank. The zoning system was organized in parallel bands with a maximum of freedom. In opposition, the edges of the ensemble are strictly regulated as to form and height. In this system, the project could be gradually developed over time in a flexible way, independently with their own functions and clients, but heading to a coherent end situation.
