Porto Mari is an environmental-friendly and fully self-sustainable tourist resort on a Caribbean island that provides sensory experiences to the visitor. After replanting the former plantages, chalets of wood and jute will be installed at the mountain slopes, overlooking the sea. These autarkic huts have their electricity generated by solar panels, rainwater buffered in tanks and nozzle-shaped roofs to provide natural ventilation. The architecture tantalizes the senses: on the veranda you can enjoy the scent of tamarind, the chirp of crickets, a cool sea breeze in your hair and warm sand between your toes.
