The Porte de l’Europe project creates new urban life on a human scale in the European Quarter of Luxemburg, by means of an ensemble of buildings of different heights in a fine maze of building blocks and public squares. A four-storey office building acts as a beacon at the entrance of the quarter coming from the old town. A new public square with shops and restaurants will form the lively heart of the quarter. Adjacent there is a green court with town houses that offers an attractive living area. A hundred meter high residential tower blends into the existing skyline of office towers. The façade is made of three-dimensional white concrete elements that generate a tectonic surface.
