The Regional Support Center for the Dutch Roads and Waterworks departments brings together a number of technical support services in one continuous sloped and tapered volume. It reflects the different requirements: large spans and high ceilings for the garages and workshops, low ceilings and small spans for the offices. In this way the collective strength of the organization is expressed rather than the separate functions. The building is clad with black corrugated panels, as a backdrop for the fluorescent roadwork vehicles that dock in the side niches of the building.
